Using a temporary “work in progress” theme for your site or blog
05 December 2009
There is nothing worse than visiting a website only to find it not working, not finished or in a state of repair. If when you are creating your site you need to let people know that things will be back up and working soon, but also try and ensure that you do not lose visitors then there is an elegant solution. If you are creating a site with WordPress then the solution is even more elegant.
By using the Tempskin theme from www.jinsonathemes.com you can both put up an elegant temporary ‘front-door’ but also allow visitors to express their interest and register’ their details so you can keep them updated as to when your site is back up and working.
