Overseal Parish Council Sponsored Websites

We have recently struck a sponsorship deal with the Overseal Parish Council, in South Derbyshire. This effectively allows any permanent Overseal resident to be able to create and host their own personal website through Community Hosts services. Through this sponsorship Community Hosts is providing fast, secure and reliable hosting which offers:

  • Your own domain-name (such as http://www.mysite.overseal.org.uk)
  • 250MB of storage space for your website
  • FTP Access to move your files about
  • mySQL Database support for hosting database driven websites, such as Joomla, WordPress etc.
  • The option to ‘park’ your own domain-name.
    So pointing www.mysite.com to www.mysite.overseal.org.uk
  • Full cPanel access, to mange, control and edit your website (including installing many common website packages such as WordPress)

Terms and Conditions

This special offer is only available to residents of Overseal Parish Council and subject to a few restrictions:

  1. Creating websites to promote or take business online are not allowed – please contact us directly about this if that is what you want to do
  2. The hosting of, reference to or linking to nudity, pornography, anything of a sexual, lewd, or obscene nature is not allowed.
  3. The hosting of, reference to or linking to violations of any copyright or any other right of any third party is not allowed
  4. The hosting of, reference to or linking to threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory statements is not allowed.
  5. The hosting of, reference to or linking to promotion of illegal activities (info on hacking, cracking, making illegal devices, etc) is not allowed.
  6. The hosting of, reference to or linking to information, instructions, or software containing or about any kind of virus is not allowed.
  7. The hosting of, reference to or linking to hate speech or hate propaganda is not allowed.
  8. The hosting of downloads. E.g. using web space as storage for the purpose of loading remotely is not allowed.
  9. The hosting of, reference to or linking to misrepresentation(s) of member’s identity, or the impersonation of anyone is not allowed.
  10. Collection of personal information for illegal purposes is not allowed is not allowed.
  11. The hosting of, reference to or linking to content that is deemed by 29internet.com, in its sole discretion, to be harmful to 29internet.com, another company or organisation, or individual is not allowed.
  12. The hosting of, reference to or linking to any products or services (or information relating to them), that are harmful, illegal, dangerous, pornographic, or indecent is not allowed.
